First produced in the 1930s for civil aviation purposes, the Pilots family has become known for its precise timepieces with outstanding technology.
Taking its design cues from the historic Big Pilot’s Watch 52, this IWC Pilot’s Mark XVIII Heritage Men’s Watch is sleek and minimal with a distinctly retro feel.
The large, black dial features only the essential elements for optimum legibility - luminescent hands and rounded Arabic numerals, a date display and a bold triangle with two dots to clearly mark 12 o’clock.
Powered by 35111-calibre, automatic self-winding movement, the watch is set within a robust 40mm titanium case, offers a 42-hour power reserve and is water resistant to 60 metres.
To ensure reliable timekeeping at high altitudes, this watch is also equipped with a soft-iron inner case for protection against magnetic fields and an anti-reflective sapphire glass lens that secures against displacement by any drop in air pressure.
A brown calfskin strap adds to this watch’s striking, vintage-style appearance.
